As you may have noticed the TTBO module has been updated to a new version.

The new version 15 includes the following main features:

added retirement status. Fighters can now retire or be forced to retire (see rules for more info).
-members who have played more than 10 rounds and haven't played for one round will get an inactive rank (this rank has no consequences and is more of a warning)
-members who have played more than 10 rounds and haven't played for two consecutive rounds are retired (and stripped of their titles). Again: members who won't play for two rounds will be retired
-members who lost 10 consecutive fights are forced to retire and skip a round
-fighters who want to make a comeback from retirement need to win 3 out of the next 5 fights. Fighters who lose 3 out of their 5 comeback fights will be forced to retire and skip a round.
These rules will apply starting with the June 25th - July 1 round.
Notice that the retirement rule deviates from the original BlakeSchneider rules (which described that a fighter should be retired if he hasn't played for one round. The current rules are 'softer', but can easily be changed if people request it).
added an option to let members submit/recommend fights. Please use this function if you feel a certain fight should be in the TTBO round. The recommended fight will be reviewed and added in the round if approved.
added an option to view all members picks to the ttbo pick page (this option is only available when fights are scheduled). Now you can spy on other members
added icons for titles and champion rank on ranking page, ttbo picks page and forum profile. The titles just got more valuable
added the ability to generate more detailed change reports to present the results (see the change reports of this week)
consecutive losses/wins can now be seen on the profile pick page
colors are now used with the deadline dates (red if deadline reached - green if deadline is open)
the ttbo logo is now also a link to the manual
added a link to ttbo forum on ranking page (named "see here for detailed fight results")
slightly changed ranking table lay-out

This week a minor TTBO update has been done.

Changes in version 16

two extra titles have been added. The two titles are only for the lower region of the ranking.
-RISING STAR
The fighter with the best win percentage after at least 5 wins and at most 24 wins is declared RISING STAR.

-KID DYNAMITE
The fighter with the best KO percentage after at least 5 wins and at most 24 wins is declared KID DYNAMITE.

This week another minor TTBO update has been done.

Changes in version 17:

one extra title has been added.
-MOST IMPRESSIVE FIGHTER THIS WEEK
The fighter with the most correct picks in the week (and so scored the most tt-points) is declared MOST IMPRESSIVE FIGHTER THIS WEEK.
A link to the change report is now visible on the pick-page and ranking-page along with the date of the last record update. When a record update has been done the link will contain 'new' (for two days after the update).
updated the manual with more explanation on how the win/ko percentages are calculated and what will happen if fighters have the same percentage
changed the change report content slightly. The full percentages are now printed instead of the ratios and more ranked lists of the percentages are printed.

This week another TTBO update has been done.
The main change is the addition of the title match suggestion by Turk15 and crewe1000 (thanks for the suggestion).

Changes in version 18:

An extra title has been added.
-THE UNDISPUTED LINEAR CHAMPION (awarded for the first time to tysoncrazy for being at the top and holding several titles).

The winner of the "MOST IMPRESSIVE FIGHTER THIS WEEK"-title will get a mandatory shot to the UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONSHIP in a title match.
The player who scored the most tt-points in a title match is declared THE (NEW) UNDISPUTED LINEAR CHAMPION.
If only the champion himself is the winner of the "MOST IMPRESSIVE FIGHTER THIS WEEK"-title then he will get an optional defense awarded (in which he can chose to face any top15 fighter or not fight a title match at all).

Changed the "current title defense streak" and "highest title defense streak" concept. Now only the UNDISPUTED LINEAR CHAMPION can make title defenses and only his streak of title matches victory is recorded.
Changed retirement rules. Now fighters who participated in at least 5 fights and at most 9 fights will be retired aswell if they will be inactive for 5 weeks.

Due to this change the following players will be retired and stripped if they won't play next week:

The picks of the champion and challenger of a title match are hidden from everybody. This is done to avoid deliberate draws in a title match.
Changed the rank "WORLD CHAMPION" to "BELT HOLDER" to avoid confusion with the real undisputed linear champion.
Changed the title "POUND FOR POUND CHAMP" to "POUND FOR POUND KING" to avoid confusion with the real undisputed linear champion.
Updated the manual with more explanation on title matches and the changed retirement rules.
Recommended fights are now sorted on fight dates instead of order in which the recommendations are submitted.
Some graphical changes were done (eg a new UNDISPUTED LINEAR CHAMPION icon, making the ordinary belts smaller and adding a title match announcement on the ranking page).

This week a minor TTBO update has been done.
The main change is the KO-percentage calculation change (suggested by lefthook_mike) and the addition of the title-match record

Changes in version 18.5:

KO-percentage calculation change (suggested by lefthook_mike).
The KO percentage calculation has been changed from the old method:
(ko's *100%) / (wins+losses)

to the new method:
(ko's *100%) / wins

This is done to make the ko-ratio more realistic as several sources show the ko-ratio is often based on the amount of total wins only (and not the amount of total fights).
This will new calculation will affect the IRON MIKE title as well as the KID DYNAMITE title.
Added an extra column on the ranking page named "amount of title matches fought (wins-losses-draws)". This extra record info will display the amount of title fights the fighter has been in (and how many of those ended in wins, losses or draws).
Some graphical changes were done (in the change reports each ranked list also has its title-icon).

This update doesn't have all the planned features implemented (hence only version 18.5). Look out for a new version 19 soon.

This week a minor TTBO update has been done.
The division between the upper-region and lower-region of the ranks has been changed.
This affects all ratio-titles.

Changes in version 18.6:

The minimum wins required to participate for the upper-region titles (which includes the "IRON MIKE" and "P4P KING" titles) has been changed from 25 wins to 35 wins.

After some complaints about the requirement being too low i re-evaluated this limit.
It turns out that lately the TTBO rounds have grown bigger from an old average of 4 fights to a new average of 7 fights. This means that the limit of 25 wins is out of date.
Also after looking at the real-life "Pound for Pound King" Floyd Mayweather it appears he was widely considered P4p King after 30 to 35 wins.
To make the TTBO more realistic the limit has therefor been set to 35 wins.

that was a good move ive always felt 25 wins is too low to be a candidate for a title, especially these days we are having like 10 fights or something a week lol

Yeh thats fair enough, ill have Kid Dynamite until i get 35 wins, then i will be Iron Mike No Problem Very Happy

This week a minor TTBO update has been done.

Changes in version 19:

A new title THE LONGEST REIGNER OF THE TTBO has been added.
The title is defined in the manual as follows:
"The fighter with the highest defense streak (the most consecutive successful defenses) is declared THE LONGEST REIGNER OF THE TTBO.
If several fighters have the same amount of highest defense streak, then the fighter with the most titlematch-wins will get the title.
If the amount of titlematch-wins is also equal, then the fighter who has been champion the more often (eg 3-times champion over 2-times champion) will get the title."
There is no permanent icon for this title yet. Right now it's a coin/medal, but feel free to suggest a better and more fit ting icon.
Email notifications.
Players who have been inactive and are on the edge retirement or have just retired will get an email notification to warn them of the situation.
Many players are unaware of the exact retirement rules, so an email notification will make sure the player has been made aware of the closing retirement.
On the pickpage the amount of consecutive inactive rounds are displayed aswell as the amount of weeks left before retirement.
If you haven't been flagged "INACTIVE" then you will not see this information.

A plan I've been considering is adding another title for the fighter with the most title-matches wins (something like "DOMINATOR OF THE TTBO").

An update has been made to the TTBO.

In this update, several sections have been added to the "ranking page":

Path of Lineage
(this section lists all the titlefights with winners and losers and so allows you to track the lineage of the Linear title).
Era in the TTBO
(this section lists all the eras in the TTBO. A player can establish an era, if he makes 5 successful defenses in a row).
Fighter of the Year
(this section lists all the players who were awarded with the "Fighter of the year"-award).
Hall of Champions
(this section lists all the players who have once held the Undisputed Linear title. The list is sorted on the amount of titlefight wins).

Feel free to make suggestions as change will keep the game fresh.
